Headaches

Everyone experiences headaches and/or head pain (also known as orofacial pain) during the course of the year.  The causes vary as the pain may initiate from a wide variety of factors.  There are many different types of headaches and they can occur in any region of the head; from the back of the head and even the eyes.  All headaches are considered as primary headaches or as secondary headaches.  Primary headaches are not caused by disease (i.e. migraines, tension headaches, cluster headaches) while secondary headaches are caused by diseases.  No matter the cause, every patient will agree that headaches are unwelcome.
