A facet joint injection can serve two purposes. One, it can define the joint that is the source of pain and can provide pain relief with a steroid injection to the inflamed joint. The entire procedure typically takes between 30 – 60 minutes.

What it Treats

Facet joint injections are useful in treating spondylosis, osteoarthritis of the spine, facet joint inflammation, degenerative joint disease of the spine and facet arthropathy.
